Christmas is Coming: Gifts for the Dog

Hey there! With the holidays approaching quickly (how is it already November?!), it's about time to start shopping for presents!! I've put together a list of products that our doodle, Murphy, loves. All are inexpensive, puppy-approved products that would make great Christmas gifts for the dog in your life. I'm also planning to do a Christmas gift series for all the loved ones in your life, so lets just say this is installment 1 of the many to come.

Maybe you're thinking it's a little early to start shopping... BUT right now through Thanksgiving are when the best sales are happening! (check out Nordstrom's sale now thru Nov 11th!) I've already started scoping out those promo codes and snatching up some great deals on gifts!

Toys
These are Murphy's favorite toys. They are similar to a bone without the yucky mess! Also, they don't upset his tummy and last forever. Win, win, win!
Something about this ball (probably the bacon flavoring) drives Murphy wild. He will chase it longer than any other ball we throw his way. Good for running off all that puppy energy.

We call ours the "Chewzie" and it's great to keep Murphy busy, especially while we are eating dinner. We put one rawhide ring on it instead of two, and he chews on it for quite a while. He plays with this toy without the rawhides too!

Leash & Collar
We LOVE Lupine! They sell everything from regular collars and leashes to harnesses and personalized embroidered collars. Here's the best part... they replace anything forever! My Mom has gotten a leash replaced after Brody (my doodle brother) chewed thru it several years after purchase. They have awesome patterns to fancy up your pooch! I think Murphy needs this one for Christmas.

Dog Beds
If you have a large dog like me, or your little dog just likes a big ol' bed, Sam's Club has the bed for your dog! They always have really nice, comfortable beds for reasonable prices. They usually only carry one style in the store at a time, but change them out pretty regularly. I'm pretty sure my Mom has bought every bed sold there for the past 10 years.

"Cookies"
The holy grail of cookies. There has been a lot a news lately about chicken treats making dogs sick. These are made in the USA with only chicken produced in the USA. Murphy goes NUTS over these (and so do Brody and Bentley).
These are the perfect, little training treat. Honestly, I love them because they smell good (like rosemary) and are low calorie, healthy, and made in the USA. I highly suggest you buy them on Amazon because they are pretty expensive in pet stores. I bought a 6 ounce bag at a store in Ft Worth for more than the 1 pound bag costs on Amazon. CRAZY!
We feed Murphy Merrick's brand of dog food. It is made in TEXAS and has awesome ratings. Their cookies come in such fun flavors, but right now Grammy's Pot Pie is the cookie in our house. I think we will have to get some turducken cookies for Thanksgiving. Right now, Wag.com has these on BOGO with promo code MERRICKBOGO. It's a really great deal (and they have super fast 1-day shipping!)

Peace, Love, and Pawprints,
Brianna and Murphy
