My Favorite Things 2014

I'm a big big big fan of Oprah's favorite things. Every year I seem to think I have to have at least one of the items off of her list. So if Oprah gets to put together a favorite things list, I should to, right? These are my absolute favorite things ever!

For those of us that paint our own nails often, a good top coat is the number 1 priority. I have used this one for years! It is FAST drying, super thick and allows my at-home mani's to be chip worthy for at least a week!
I've worn these since I was a freshman in college and they are seriously the best lounge pants. They are super warm (made of the same fleece as their jackets) and come in several colors.
This is my item off Oprah's list this year! And I already had it!! Wahoo for wedding gifts! They just came out with this new "palm" color, which just happens to be mine and Oprah's favorite! This pot is so pretty it stays out on our stove as decor, but it's the BEST POT EVER too.
This watch is the best piece of jewelry (besides my wedding ring) I've ever owned. I seriously wear it every single day and have had it for years. Yes, it's expensive, but I have gotten so much wear out of it that it's worth it. It's smaller in size and super simple which makes it perfect to wear with everything.
I've said it before, but I have awful feet that hurt in most shoes (especially heels!). These flats have been a life saver over the past few years. The Reva style doesn't fit my foot, but these Caroline's feel like slippers. Pretty and comfortable = WIN WIN!
I've had a similar pair of these bad boys since college and have been wearing them every fall and winter ever since. I'm lucky enough that my Mom has the black pair and I have the brown so I'm able to wear them with almost any outfit! Super great quality and classic style to last for years to come.
So far in 2014, this book has been my absolute favorite. Closely followed by Gone Girl, but I know most of you have already read or seen that in movie theatres. I'm usually into the "chick lit" books, but this one is a great attention-grabbing, can't put down book!
So maybe I had a really crappy vacuum before, but this baby does work! It's super light, rotates like a Dyson, and is much more affordable. We also got this as a wedding gift and LOVE it! It works great on our carpet, wood and tile. Paired with the Shark steam mop our floors are SO clean!
This is my favorite recipe I've discovered this year. Yes, it's totally unhealthy and has heavy cream in it, but it is SO freakin' good! I've made it about 3 times in the past month, oops... It's not very expensive to make and both the hubs and I LOVE it. One pot lasts for 2 days. Recipe tip: use an immersion blender (if you have one) instead of a regular blender.
I'm all about easy work outfits and this sweater, my friends, is just that. It's SO versatile. I have it in about 10 colors and throw it on for the easiest outfit ever. You can jazz it up with an awesome necklace or wear it with jeans and a scarf outside of work. Buy it on the Factory site for the same style and quality at a lot lower price!

What are your favorite things of 2014? I'd love to know!

Holiday Gift Guide: Under $100

Hey, Everyone! How was your Thanksgiving?? Mine was so great, but not long enough! I can never get enough time off of work to spend with family and friends.

I got TONS of shopping done online this past weekend. Cyber Monday brought some awesome sales that I couldn't resist. I'm becoming an all online shopper. It's so just much easier and honestly usually cheaper! (Amazon Prime!!!) I've put together a list of perfect gifts that are under $100 for you. I love all of these items so much and think you will too!

I gave these to my wedding party to get ready in the morning of our wedding and everyone LOVED them. They come in a variety of patterns and make a perfect gift for anyone on your shopping list.
Can you ever have too much KS jewelry? I don't think so! I'm loving her new line of drusy colors, like the bronze drusy pictured above. 15% off everything and free shipping thru tonight with code BFCM2014!!!
These slippers are the BEST. I got some last year for Christmas and still wear them almost every single day. I love this gold pair they came out with this year. Pretty and comfy!
I fell in love with this scent at a friend's house when she had the Nest Holiday candle burning. I really like the idea of this diffuser for the office, bedroom or powder bath. It smells amazing!!!
I am really excited about these! They have amazing reviews and since my feet kill me in most heels, these wedges could be my new favorite shoe. They come in a bunch of great colors too.
I have used this eye shadow palette for years. It lasts forever and has the perfect neutrals that can dress your look up or down.

Only 23 more days!

Happy Thanksgiving!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!

I thought I would share a few things that I am SO thankful for this year in honor of Turkey Day today!

{My AMAZING hubby, who puts up with my antics daily. Just ask him, putting up Christmas lights last weekend was quite a task with me there "helping"}

{Our doodle puppy, Murphy Miller, who is just the most awesome thing that has happened recently. He is SO MUCH FUN and I have definitely taken on a very protective motherly role in his life}

{My wonderful parents, who babysit Murphy every single day while we are at work. We couldn't do life without them, really!}

{Our beautiful home that has finally started to feel "homey". We are finished with fixing our issues and are all decorated for Christmas, which ALWAYS makes things better}

{My fabulous friends, who I love to death. They are the best and have been there for me forever}

{My close-knit family, because what is better than that, especially around the holidays}

{2014 - it has been a CRAZY year, but probably the BEST year of my life}

{ALL OF YOU, my blog readers, because it's WAY more fun when people actually read what I write :)}

We will be spending today with family at my parents house, eating lots and lots of food. Friday morning, we are off to Fort Worth to visit with the hubs family. I am hoping to get a little shopping in too! I am SO thankful for this year and everything it has brought! What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

I hope you have a fantastic holiday!

Holiday Gift Guide: Under $25

Hello! I'm back on the blog today with a holiday gift guide under $25!! I seriously love all of these items!!! I may have several on my Christmas list and if not, it's because I already own them! A lot of these things would be perfect stocking stuffers too! Like I've said before, NOW is the time to start your shopping if you haven't already because many items take longer to be customized or are on sale now!! I'm sure you'll find something on this list that will make its way into your present pile.

I got this bangle last year from the hubs for Christmas and LOVE it! I have received so many compliments on it. And the best part is that it's only $22!!!
I'm a nail polish junkie and love this Essie holiday collection from Target! It has all of their most popular 2014 colors that can be used throughout every season. At only $14.99 it makes a great stocking stuffer!

These are just TOO CUTE! They are definitely on my Christmas wish list this year. I love the plaid pattern and the faux fur interior. For only $14.50, I think these are a steal!
We've all seen the beloved CatStudio state pillows, but if you aren't willing to shell out the $158 for those then these tea towels are the perfect option for you! They are only $20 and have the same amazing embroidered detail as the pillows. Buy 2 and get free shipping from CatStudio!

I really like these graphic lounge tees from Old Navy. They would be so cute paired with pajama pants! I definitely have these on my Christmas list this year! $15-$18!
I'm slightly obsessed with Ree Drummond's Saturday morning cooking show and always find her recipes to be delicious. I love the idea of gifting her Holiday cookbook for Christmas and I'm sure there are some scrumptious recipes inside.

Wedding Part 7: The Reception

It's snowing outside!!! I can't believe it! And it's the perfect day to post my final photos from the wedding. Our reception was SO MUCH FUN! But, for those of you who weren't there, let me just tell you how unlucky I am... Not only did it rain on our wedding day and cause us to move our ceremony indoors, but the power also went out mid-dancing at our reception. Total bummer! Luckily, it came back on about 30 minutes later and definitely made for some good stories. We also got lucky because one of Michael's groomsmen had a battery powered speaker in his car, so we weren't without music for long. THANKS MARK!

{First Dance: "Oh, Tonight" by Josh Abbott Band}
{Father Daughter Dance: "There Goes my Life" by Kenny Chesney}
My Dad picked out our dance song and it couldn't have been more perfect.
{Mother Son Dance: "Count on Me" by Bruno Mars}
{My hubs is a dancin' man}
{My Chi-O Sisters}
{OSU Golf Group}
{Wobblin with my bestie}
{POWERS OUT!}
{Mark saving the day with his speakers!}
{Dog Days dancing}
{wiggle wiggle wiggle, ha!}
{Funny Story: I had an OU garter and Michael is just about to find out!!}
{OU!}
{disgusted by my choice of garter!}
{cyclone!}
{there goes my MOH with my train, thanks Kim for carrying that heavy thing around all night when the bustle came undone!}

And that's a wrap!

Happy Snow Day!
